During the lockdown, the education system shifted abruptly to distance learning.

In order to learn from this unprecedented experience, and in particular from the new school forms that have been implemented, the Ministry of Education organized the Etats Généraux du Numérique pour l'éducation (EGNé) on November 4 and 5, 2020.

These Estates General had been prepared in three stages:

• Development of a feedback (from containment to the end of the regular school year)
• Organization of an online consultation (from mid-June to mid-September)
• States General in the territories (mid-September to mid-October)

Diversify the modes of training in and through digital technology and strengthen the position of Réseau Canopé

Create a digital resources and services account for each teacher

Encourage projects that bring together researchers and teachers for the collaborative design of tools adapted to the needs of the educational community and an analysis of their uses

Develop free distance learning and support services for students and strengthen the role of the CNED

Develop digital citizenship and strengthen media and information literacy with the support of CLEMI

Certifying students' digital skills with PIX

Set up a system to detect and prevent the digital divide and illiteracy

Provide targeted support for students' digital equipment

Provide equipment assistance to all teachers

Guarantee a minimum digital foundation for schools and institutions

Implement the "Education Connection Pass" for all

Develop specific digital tools and open third places for vocational high schools

Supporting and training families in digital culture by promoting the PIX for all

Implement the specific accessibility guidelines for digital educational resources

Generalize a digital work environment for all staff with collaborative work tools

Encourage the sharing at the national level of digital services developed in the territory

Create support systems for managers to organize "working together

Create support mechanisms for the animation of educational communities and staff groups

Implementing participatory approaches and tools in schools and institutions

Strengthen and better recognize the digital actors in the territories

Facilitate and encourage the use of recycled materials

Educate on proper usage and digital sobriety and promote and train on the proper use of RGPD compliant tools

Strengthen the framework of trust around the Code of Conduct for the sector's companies

Helping research laboratories and ensuring the transfer of innovations
